Regional Field Director - Job Description
The Arizona Democratic Party is looking for Regional Field Directors for the 2008 Coordinated Campaign. The RFDs will manage field organizers and voter contact programs across Arizona.
Arizona has an aggressive coordinated campaign operation this year with 4 top tier Congressional races, one considered the highest chance for Democratic takeover in the country. In addition, we are poised to flip one chamber of the state legislature and are prepared to be ground zero for an aggressive anti-McCain campaign.
Job Description:
– Assist in the implementation of a statewide field plan including voter identification, persuasion, vote by mail, and GOTV.
– Supervise field organizers and volunteers.
– Develop and oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement programs.
– Manage volunteer canvass programs, phone banks, voter identification and GOTV operations.
Qualifications:
– At least one full cycle of field experience preferred.
– Must be willing to work grueling hours
– Management experience required
– Fulltime commitment through November is required.
– Must have reliable transportation as travel is required.
– Strong work ethic and managerial skills; ability to organize, train, motivate and speak before groups of staff and volunteers.
– Highly organized, self-motivated; ability to multi-task.
– Numbers based nightly accountability required.
