Field Organizer - Job Description
The Arizona Democratic Party is looking for Field Organizers for the 2008 Coordinated Campaign. The organizers will recruit and manage volunteers and actively engage in implementing our voter contact program.
Arizona has an aggressive coordinated campaign operation this year with 4 top tier Congressional races, one considered the highest chance for Democratic takeover in the country. In addition, we are poised to flip one chamber of the state legislature and are prepared to be ground zero for an aggressive anti-McCain campaign.
Job Description:
– Assist in the implementation of a statewide field plan including voter identification, persuasion, vote by mail, and GOTV.
– Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers.
– Manage volunteer canvass programs, phone banks, voter identification and GOTV operations.
Qualifications:
– Previous field or campaign experience preferred.
– Strong work ethic and managerial skills; ability to organize, train, and motivate volunteers.
– Highly organized, self-motivated; ability to multi-task.
– Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work grueling hours; travel required.
– Numbers based nightly accountability required.
– Must make a commitment to the ADP through November 2008.
