NRCC Giving Up On Randy Graf in CD8

The NRCC, having gone out on a limb to get a more moderate candidate through the primary and failed, has just given up on the Medicare-abolishing, Department of Education-hating, David Duke-endorsed nominee Randy Graf.

We have just gotten word that they have cancelled everything on the air from October 3rd forward.

Go Gabrielle Giffords!

It’s over for the GOP in this district. The NRCC has cancelled all its ad buys.

Apparently, there’s too much ground to defend for them to waste money on a race in which the Democratic nominee, Gabrielle Giffords, was leading 54-35 according to her internal polls. The GOP’s own numbers couldn’t have looked much better. The NRCC actually spent money trying to help one of Graf’s more moderate candidates win the primary.

So one seat down. Or two if you count TX-22.
