YDAZ's Campaign for a New Tomorrow Taking Part in National Day of Action

YDAZ’s Campaign for a New Tomorrow officially began on September 16th – and since then we’ve been busy! Our volunteers have been on the move talking to their peers at their homes and on the street. It has been an exciting two weeks – but now we’ve moved into Phase 2 of the campaign – which means we are ready to start hiring staff, including Canvassers, Street Team, Interns, Lead Canvassers and Lead Street Team. This is a very exciting time for the campaign – we’re making progress and making a difference!

We’ve recently brought on two Regional Field Directors to help with the campaign. Nomiki Konst will be the Tempe Field Director and Allison Dreyer will be the Tucson Field Director.

This campaign is about youth talking to youth at their homes and at their hangouts. This means going to places like dorms, coffee houses, and concerts and engaging youth in a conversation about the upcoming election, and about the issues that matter to them. Our ultimate goal is to increase youth voting and help elect Democratic candidates by establishing a youth voting block.

This Saturday, September 30th is the National Day of Action. All over the country Democrats will be taking action and getting involved to make a difference in this election. I hope I can count on you to join the campaign for our Canvass for Change. We’ll be going door-to-door talking to youth about the issues they care about, about voting for Democrats, and about some of the propositions they’ll find on the ballot in November.

You participation in this campaign will make a difference for a slate of Democratic candidates throughout the state. I hope you’ll join the campaign on Saturday for this National Day of Action!
