Organizing and Operations Director           

Overall Description:

In the era of Trump, the Arizona Democratic Party will hold Republicans in local, state, and national office accountable to the damaging policies of this administration and their local allies. To that end, the Organizing and Operations Director (OOD) will be an integral part of our work in 2017. The OOD will be responsible for managing all state Party operations and play an important role in field efforts including the following:

Operations Responsibilities:

  • Onboard staff, and run ongoing payroll and benefits platforms;
  • Track office management contracts, and garner competitive alternatives;
  • Ensure on time payments to vendors in tandem with the ADP compliance team;
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate resource allocation;
  • Ensure ADP remains in line with state and federal law regarding human resource regulations;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Organizing Responsibilities:

  • Draft and implement a 2017 strategic plan in coordination with the Executive Director;
  • Train and manage field staff and volunteers;
  • Create and run a statewide fellowship program;
  • Coordinate out of state partners to call and travel to Arizona for field support;
  • Work with ADP clubs and caucuses to grow the Party;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more cycles of campaign or state party field experience;
  • At least 1 cycle of campaign or state party operations experience;
  • At least 2 years management experience;
  • Experience organizing volunteers within a structured organizing model;
  • Experience writing and executing a field plan;
  • Proficiency with VoteBuilder, ADPRun, Google Apps, NGPVAN, and Microsoft Suite;
  • Strong public speaking skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Experience in collaborating with data professionals and working within data-enhanced field programs; 
  • Passion for working long, irregular hours for Democratic candidates and causes;
  • Commitment to empowering staff and volunteers at all levels.

Salary: 

Salary is commensurate with experience. Position will include medical insurance benefits.

Regional Organizing Director

Overall Description:

To that end, the Regional Organizing Director (ROD) will be an integral part of our work in 2017. The ROD will be responsible for managing field efforts in their assigned region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruiting, training, and managing volunteer leaders and Fellows;
• Providing weekly goals for your volunteer teams, and holding them accountable to achieve their goals;
• Maintaining excellent data;
• Represent the Party at community and partner events;
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 or more cycles of campaign or state party field experience;
• Experience organizing volunteers within a structured organizing model;
• Experience writing and executing a field plan;
• Proficiency with VoteBuilder;
• Strong public speaking and organization skills;
• Passion for working long, irregular hours for Democratic candidates and causes;
• Commitment to empowering staff and volunteers at all levels;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.

Salary:
