McCain-funded AZGOP video calls for election of Trump, McCain, Arpaio ticket
The ad calling for election of Trump, Arpaio & McCain is made possible due to the over $250k McCain & NRSC funneled into the AZ GOP
TEMPE — The Arizona Republican Party, funded by $250,000 in transfers from McCain and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, released a political ad calling on Republicans to demonstrate ‘unity’ by voting for Donald Trump, Joe Arpaio and John McCain.
McCain and the National Republican Senatorial Committee recently transferred over $250,000 to the Arizona Republican Party -- the most of any Republican committee transfers. While McCain struggles with Republicans, Democrats and Independents, and Arpaio struggles with criminal contempt, it appears McCain and his AZGOP allies are attempting to save McCain’s flailing campaign by convincing voters to support a full Republican slate, proving once again that John McCain’s motives are always politically self-serving.
“John McCain wants to have it both ways when it comes to electing Arpaio and Trump, but his money’s on the table and he’s betting it all on Trump,” said Arizona Democratic Party Communications Director Enrique Gutierrez. “McCain’s campaign has been flailing in the aftermath of his more than 60 endorsements of Donald Trump, but Arizona voters have caught on to the fact that McCain is trying to tell them one thing while doing another, talking out of both sides of his mouth. That’s why they’re going to elect Ann Kirkpatrick, a new, principled leader who will tell it to them straight.”
