Arizona Republicans should be ashamed of votes

Three members of Congress support Bush
and let down Arizona children

Reps. John Shadegg, Trent Franks and Jeff Flake took a stand against Arizona children today when they voted to support President Bush’s veto of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Congressional candidate Tim Bee would also vote for the President and against health care for kids, he told The Arizona Republic.

“It is unconscionable that these men would deny health care to kids after rubber-stamping $500 billion in spending on Iraq,” said Maria Weeg, executive director of the Arizona Democratic Party. “They are clearly out of touch with what our most precious values: strong, secure families where parents can raise healthy kids.”
