McCain, Should Renzi finish his term?

Sen. John McCain, whose ethical standards have come into question this week, has refused to ask indicted Republican Rep. Rick Renzi to step down.

“Being a member of Congress isn’t a right, it’s a privilege,” said Emily Bittner, spokeswoman for the Arizona Democratic Party. “Elected officials are held to a higher ethical standard. I question Senator McCain’s judgment that Renzi is fit to serve out the rest of his term under the cloud of a massive indictment.”

McCain has gone so far as to say “it doesn’t matter” if Renzi were to continue to be a co-chairman of the Senator’s presidential campaign. (http://www.youtube.com/watch)
