This morning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released this month’s job report, and it bodes well for the outgoing Obama Administration:
The U.S. added 178,000 new jobs in November,
Unemployment Rate dropped 0.3 percentage points, to 4.6 percent (lowest since 2007)
Average wages 2.5 percent higher than last year
Under the Obama Administration, Americans have seen wages grow, the unemployment rate fall to a 9-year low, and U.S. businesses adding more than 15.5 million new jobs since early 2010.
This is in stark contrast to the end of the last Republican administration, when the economy was losing 800,000 jobs a month and millions of Americans were losing their homes and life savings.
As Trump takes over the White House, Arizonans will be watching closely to see if he works to build on the economic progress of the last 8 years, or he drags us backwards under the failed economic policies of previous Republican administrations.
One thing is certain, President Obama and Democrats moved our nation’s economy forward.
