Martha McSally Confirms 3 More Anti-Health Care Judges To Lifetime Appointments
Rather than take on rising health care costs, McSally and her Senate GOP allies have instead continued to support efforts to gut protections for Arizonans with pre-existing conditions, while doling out lifetime appointments to judges who endanger women’s health care access

PHOENIX — U.S. Sen. Martha McSally today added to her track record of backing anti-health care judges, voting to give lifetime appointments to three additional judges with a proven history of opposing women’s health care access.

Here’s a look at the anti-health care judges that McSally today confirmed to lifetime appointments on the federal bench:

    • Matthew Kacsmaryk has:
      • “[D]isdainfully criticized the legal foundations of Roe v. Wade,” as GOP Sen. Susan Collins put it;
      • Demonstrated a hostility toward the right to reproductive freedom and attacked pro-choice advocates as “sexual revolutionaries”;  and,
      • Fought against expanded access to contraceptives.
    • Allen Winsor has:
      • Defended highly-restrictive limits on reproductive health care access; and,
      • Fought against expanded access to contraceptives.
    • Greg Guidry has:
      • Demonstrated a hostility toward reproductive health access and received support from anti-choice groups and activists; and,
      • Declined to affirm his support for the precedent established in Brown v. Board of Education.
Rather than take up House of Representatives-passed legislation to lower health care and prescription drug costs, or another measure to limit the influence of money in politics, Martha McSally and her Senate GOP allies have instead continued to support efforts to gut protections for Arizonans with pre-existing conditions, while doling out lifetime appointments to judges who share their anti-health care agenda.
